Ice cream, an array of coffee and other hot drinks and snacks served by friendly and cheerful staff. They sell duck seed as well, which is to feed the ducks a few metres away. An institution for me and boy. Does get busy during good days, which is fine.

Good place to enjoy your time in the area. Brunch foods and coffee are available, and you can book the boat rides as well.

£4.50 for a toastie with two fillings and served in a handy tray with side salad and cutlery. Lovely thick bread, plenty of filling and very tasty! £28 for four toasties, four flapjacks and four bags of crisps. £7.50 per head. Not too bad by today’s standards. The kiosk was extremely busy,m with a queue tailing far out of the door, but the staff were efficient and friendly despite how run off their feet they were! Would definitely recommend. Their selection of ice creams looked amazing too! Would definitely receive my custom again.

I love this cafe, great view across the lake while I’m enjoying my coffee. The woman who runs the cafe ( Leah) is lovely, very friendly, helpful, polite. It’s a pity I can’t say the same for the other women who work there. They are the exact opposite, unfriendly and pretty obvious they don’t want to be there. I feel like I’m interrupting them if I ask for anything cos they are usually playing on there phones. Get the strong impression they don’t really like the customers. Spoke to lots of the regulars and they feel the same way. Thankfully we have Leah most of the time. She’s worth ten times whatever the other two are getting paid.

A very busy cafe next to the lake. Ideal for refreshments and ice cream.

To say it was cold today, would be an understatement and we were encouraged to go into the "Boathouse Kiosk", a small glass-fronted building by the lake, which serves a selection of coffees, ice creams and other small snacks, to warm our hands on a hot drink. Staff very pleasant and efficient and the drinks very welcome. I'd recommend a visit if you're just looking for light refreshments. The views of wildlife on the lake, while enjoying your refreshments, are well worth watching as well. Canada geese, Coots, Ducks, swans and more.
